Boar - Martial  & Weapons

    Sworn foes fleeing.


Martial Arts Challenge: Young Vikings receive +1 level for every 52 hours of Instructed Training.  
Competitions & tournaments count as 8 hours regardless of actual time spent in matches.  Martial Arts include
Boxing, Wrestling, Asian Martial Arts such as Karate or Judo, fencing, etc.  There is no limit to the amount of
levels a Young Viking can receive in this Challenge.

Rifle Marksmanship Challenge: Young Vikings receive +1 level for receiving a 6 hour Instructed day course in
Rifle Marksmanship.  If the course is less than 6 hours, the Young Viking should make up the remaining time
target practicing.  Young Vikings may earn the level only once.

Archery Marksmanship Challenge: Young Vikings receive +1 level for receiving a 6 hour Instructed day course
in Archery Marksmanship.   If the course is less than 6 hours, the Young Viking should make up the remaining
time target practicing.    Young Vikings may earn the level only once.

Handgun Marksmanship Challenge: Young Vikings receive +1 level for receiving a 6 hour Instructed day course
in Handgun Marksmanship.  If the course is less than 6 hours, the Young Viking should make up the remaining
time target practicing.  Young Vikings may earn the level only once.

Thrown Weapon Challenge:  Young Vikings receive +1 level for receiving a 6 hour Instructed day course in
Spear, Axe or Knife throwing.  If the course is less than 6 hours, the Young Viking should make up the
remaining time target practicing.  Young Vikings may earn the level once for each type of weapon.  

Sharpshooter Challenge: Young Vikings receive +1 level for being able to hit the targets dictated for each
weapon category below.  The Challenges below will most likely require a significant amount of guided practice.  
Young Vikings may earn the level only once for each type of weapon.

   Rifle – 50 feet away, 3 inch circle target, 7 out of 10 shots within 15 minutes from a supported prone
position.   

   Archery – 45 feet away, torso sized target, 3 out of 3 shots within 5 minutes from the standing position.  

   Handgun – 25 feet away, torso sized target, 7 out of 10 shots within 2 minutes half made from the standing
position, half while kneeling.  Must include one magazine change or reload.  

   Axe or knife – one complete revolution of the weapon, torso sized target, 3 out of 3 shots within 2 minutes.  

   Spear – 20 feet away, torso sized target, 3 out of 3 shots within 2 minutes.

Hand Weapon Challenge: Young Vikings receive +1 level for receiving 16 hours of Instructed training in a hand
weapon such as sword, staff, spear, axe, knife, etc.  Young Vikings may only earn a level once for each type of
weapon.
